Benefits Deaf Kids' Kamp


Where deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing adults (at least 18 years of age) join together for a multitude of weekend signing activities including exposure to Deaf Culture...with proceeds benefitting our Deaf Kid's Kamp.

Why Attend?
It's a magical weekend! We promise you that your mind will be challenged and your fingers exercised with every-day living skills. You will network with other signers.  You will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with good food and great people!  We hire professionals in deaf studies to "host" each Silent Weekend.
 

Where?  At a mountaintop campground in Tehachapi, California.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:  You MUST be at least 18 years old and a signer. Each Silent Weekend will specify which level of signer may attend -- Beginner/Beginner, ASL I, II, III, or IV. See the Home page for information about the upcoming Silent Weekend.

Cost:
$185.00 with DVD of Your Silent Weekend
$175.00 without a DVD.

Cost includes:  Lodging on Friday and Saturday nights, breakfast, lunch, dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday; all mini-workshops; "Saturday Nite Live" (created before the TV show), and fond memories of a great "immersion" weekend!

Refunds? Transfers? THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS. If you cannot attend, your monies will be donated to the Deaf Kids' Kamp.

Reservations: We do not accept telephone reservations. Upon receipt of your application and fee, we will send you an acceptance packet. It includes directions, a "what to bring" list and information regarding the weekend. If Silent Weekend is filled, we will return your check (marked VOID) and place your name on a waiting list in the order in which it was received.

Nickel FINES for Talking! Bring your roll(s) of nickels in case you forget and accidentally "blab"!
